SOLUTIONS FOR INTERMODAL TRANSPORT
SOMMER offers a wide range of all types of trailers and containers. Each element of the replaceable system is hot-dip galvanized to provide long corrosion protection. The transverse elements stabilize the vehicle contributing to the excellent quality of cargo transportation. For intermodal transport, SOMMER also offers many options, including lifted axles, pallet boxes, short coupling system, i.e. from 750 to 1000 mm, telescopic shafts for various types of trucks and self-loading lifts. Special three-axle trailers are also available on request.
Sommer also offers a wide range of swap bodies, from boxes and fixed bodies, through the Jumbo version, in different lengths and with a variety of equipment. You will find the right solution for each type of transport.
It is possible to configure a single-sided body equipped with a rigid wall or tarpaulin, a fixed body with a sliding roof or specially adapted to the needs of furniture transport.

BIG INTERMODAL TRAILER PROGRAM
The SOMMER program with 10 different variants of trailers with a turntable and 9 versions of central-axle trailers offers a large selection for the intermodal transport segment. Tire configuration options: 17.5 inches, 19.5 inches or 22.5 inches - driving heights from 870 mm to 1260 mm and a height from the ground in the range of 870 mm to 1320 mm, as well as different lengths of all standard dimensions of the swap body. At the customer's request, we make a three-axle trailer for transporting 20-foot containers.
